Osan lives in Ijevan town with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and little grandson. Jointly with her son, Osan has been engaged in a retail business for ten years. They purchase processed cheese from local farmers and sell it at the Yerevan town market. This cheese selling business is the only source of family's income, so they work hard to sell more and gather good income for the family.

As they have no car, it is very difficult for them to bring cheese to Yerevan every day. The family's income doesn't allow them to purchase car, so Osan has applied for this loan. She needs this loan to pay customs clearance fees for the car which her husband sent from abroad.

Osan has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF International. The start-up loan program provides business start-up loans with soft conditions to informal businesses that do not have access to credit products.

The loan is very important for Osan and her family so they have a car and can enlarge their family business.
