Armine is from Yerevan town, where she lives with her mother. She works at a local cafe as a singer and by this earns her living. Besides working as a singer, Armine is also involved in sewing. She sews different dresses and sells them to her acquaintances.

Realizing that the sewing business can provide her a stable income, Armine wants to enlarge it. So far she does all her sewing by hand. Since she has no sewing machine, it is very difficult for her to expand her production of dresses. So she has applied for this loan for help.

Armine has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The start-up loan program provides start-up loans with soft conditions to informal businesses that do not have access to credit. Thus this loan is very important for Armine to enable her to buy a sewing machine and increase her sewing business. Armine waits for lenders' support.
