Janara's story

Janara is 31 years old, married and together with her husband, is raising two children. Janara has only high school education. Raising of the livestock provides the main source of income to her family. Janara started this business four years ago by purchasing cattle for 10,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, Janara now has 10 sheep. Her monthly income is 10,000 KGS.

In order to expand her enterprise, Janara applied for a loan of 60,000 KGS to the microfinance bank of Bai Tushum and Partners. She wishes to use this loan to purchase additional sheep, which she will raise and then sell, at a premium, at the market. Janara is planning re-invest the profits back into her business by purchasing additional livestock.
