Mbeyu is a married woman, with three children who attend school. She lives in her house that has neither electricity, nor piped water.
She has operated a poultry farming business for the past five years .She faces a major challenge of diseases that affect her chicks.
With the KES 30,000 loan, Mbeyu wants to purchase poultry feed and five chicks. She dreams of expanding her business and establishing another business in the near future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
