Zeina's story

Zeina is a business woman from Iraq, living in one of the south governorates of the country. She is 27 years old, married and a mother of two children.

She has five years work experience, and after learning the trade while working for others, she decided to open her own boutique in 2012. She is selling clothing for women and children as well as accessories and jewelry for women.

Her small business qualifies for the WLIFT program and she is taking an SME loan from Relief International Microfinance Iraq in the amount of 10,000 USD. She plans to use the loan to increase her capital and purchase more goods and various items for retail in the store.
