A loan of $375 helped to buy compost.

Nerida's story

Nerida is a brave 37 year old woman. She’s married to Manuel; they have two children and a home of their own. Nerida is a farmer and her main crops are peas, potatoes, and gladiolo flower. What she likes is that she is able to help her husband with the family expenses. “I feel alive,” she says. This couple travels together to the capital city to sell their harvest every season. She wants to improve her production in the future, mainly her gladiolo flower crop because she says that she has a greater demand all year. This will be her fourth Kiva loan and she is grateful for the financial support she receives so she can continue moving forward. She also promises to make her payments on time. Nerida will use the money from this loan to buy compost to feed her crops.
