A loan of $725 helped to buy compost.

Wilfredo's story

Wilfredo is a single, hardworking, 34 year old man who lives with his parents in his own home. He has many ambitions as a young man. He studied to be a pharmacist at a well-known local school, but he wants to have his own business, so he started focusing his efforts on farming five years ago. He raises a variety of products on his parents’ farmland, including peas, potatoes, and gladiolo flowers on a large scale. He also has a chest full of medicines that he sells to the local people when they are feeling sick. Things have been going well for him all this time, so he was able to buy his own car and also uses it to provide public transportation services. The prices for his products in the central market are very good and he wants to improve their quality, so he is wants to find good land for new crops. This will be his fourth Kiva loan and he is grateful for the financial support so that he can continue forward. He is also committed to making his payments on time. Wilfredo will use the S/ 2,000 to buy compost to feed his crops.
