A loan of $500 helped to buy farming supplies.

Ambrocia's story

Ambrocia is a young 21 year old woman. She is in a common law marriage and has one son; she and her husband work as farmers. They raise and sell coffee, and in the colder seasons, corn and beans. She has a sixth grade education, thanks to her parents’ support. It was they who taught her how to work the land at a young age. Her crops are located 40 minutes from her home and she walks there to maintain her crops. One of her greatest challenges is increasing her production and improving the quality of her crops so she can have a better quality coffee, such as caturra which brings a better price. Her plans for the future are to build a humble home with basic requirements so she can offer her son a roof over his head for tomorrow. She also wants to always have her crops all the time so she can care for them personally. It’s for this reason that she is asking for a loan to prepare a section of land for farming, 6 QQ of urea, 6 QQ of 18-46-0, and also to fumigate, 10 kg of nutri café and 12 kg of evicec to maintain her coffee crops and take maximum advantage of the next harvest.
