A loan of $1,250 helped to buy seeds and supplies.

Blanca Rosa's story

Blanca is 32 years old, married, and has six children in different grades at the local school. She is a housewife and farmer who has been raising basic grains such as corn and beans for several years. She learned this from her parents at an early age. She completed elementary school and was able to finish despite financial difficulties that her parents had. The land they farm on is their own and they walk or ride an animal there every day to maintain their crops; it’s only about 10 minutes away.

Her short term plans are to increase her farming area and work them in a manner that is productive at all times, and keep her land fertile and productive, because her children depend on this trade.

Blanca is asking for this loan through the COMIXMUL co-op so she can buy 40 pounds of corn and 30 pounds of beans to plant, 15 QQ of 18-46-00 fertilizer, and 15 QQ of urea to maintain her present and future crops.
