Karen Azucena's story

Karen is a visionary young woman. She is twenty years old, single, and living with her grandmother, mother and three sisters. Her mother is helping her to become responsible so that she knows how to fend for herself in the future.

Karen has 3 years of business experience. Her business is a small cafe, located right in front of the school, which is 10 minutes away from her home. She has taken on this business because she is able to pay a portion of her school costs with her earnings from the cafe.

Karen buys the basic items for her cafe in the city, which she reaches via a 5 minute bus ride across town and then an hour-long trip to the city. This business will improve her life because it is already enabling her to become independent and to make her own money. In the future she will be able to help her mother and grandmother who have helped her so much.

In the future she would like to continue her studies to the university level and continue working hard to obtain her objectives. As for her business she would like to manage it well and to achieve her goal of saving enough money to repay her loan and expand the business bit-by-bit.
