A loan of $750 helped a member to buy more clothes to increase her inventory.

Arafa's Tupendane Group's story

Arafa K. is 40 years and married with two children, ages 14 and 12. She began selling clothes in 2005. Every day she works from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at her business, and earns a monthly profit of about $90 from sales.

In the past, Arafa has received a successful loan from BRAC Tanzania to expand her business. She now hopes for a loan to buy more clothes and bed sheets for her business. She will share this loan with her subgroup members Mwanampate and Fatma, who also have businesses in clothing sales.
