A loan of $1,500 helped to buy two calved cows.

María Marta Haydee's story

María, 56, is married and has three children. She only went to first grade because of the poverty in which her parents raised her. This is why she never found a formal job and had to look for family jobs to earn some income to feed her family. This is how María started working in agriculture and raising grazing livestock.

The whole family is involved in this work. María also has a pond where she raises shrimp and fish to sell to the neighbors in her community.

The loan María's requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy two calved cows. With them she'll have food and an additional income for her family. She'll also sell milk to her neighbors and be able to supply other needs for her family.

María's thinking that in the future she'll buy several dairy cows so she can earn a daily income to improve her house.
