Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Dilorom's story

Dilorom is a hardworking woman. She became a widow when her husband died a few years ago. She is the sole provider for her child. For more than 3 years, she has been working as a seamstress, sewing women's clothing. She purchases fabrics, sews women's dresses and robes and sells them at the local market. She sews with great care and has a number of clients. She uses the income to provide the necessities for herself and for her child. She does not have any other sources of income. She has only one sewing machine. Dilorom wishes to purchase an additional sewing machine and fabrics to increase her working capital and to expand her business. She is waiting for your kindness and is hoping for your generosity.
