Martha Lidia's story

Martha is 32 years old, married and has three children with her husband. She lives in the town of Choloma, Cortes. She worked for several years in a factory and then after a period of unemployment, she decided to establish a grocery store where she sells sausages, soft drinks, candy and other products. The business is located in her home for the past two years. She decided to apply for a loan of 15,000 Lempiras to stock more products such as basic grains, soft drinks, churros (fried dough topped with sugar), candy, bagged water, bread, sweets etc. Her goal is to increase sales. She has plans to expand her home to better accommodate her business and help her children finish their schooling.
