A loan of $3,300 helped a member to replace the out-of-stock drinks in his pub and to buy more broiler chicks and chicken feed.


Serengeti Group's story

Henrishi, who is in his mid 30s, is married with two children, one of whom goes to school and the other one is still small. He Has been running two types of businesses. He has a pub and a poultry business where he sells chicken broilers for meat. He works from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Henrishi's 11th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to restock the missing items in the pub and bought chicken feed as well. He has repaid all his loans successfully. He used the profit to finish building his house, bought a car, and paid household expenses and school fees. He will use this loan to replace the out-of-stock drinks in his pub and to buy more broiler chicks and chicken feed. He dreams of making his business big.

Henrishi will share this loan with his loan group "Serengeti" with five members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
