A loan of $1,500 helped to buy three calves.

Liana's story

Liana is from Yenoqavan village where she lives with her family of 8: her parents, her two brothers, her husband and two children. Liana's family has been involved in agriculture for many years. Liana is a nurse by profession and works at a local military unit. Together with her work she is also engaged in agriculture. They keep livestock (2 cows, 24 sheep, and 20 chickens) and also cultivate corn, potato and grass.
To tackle the family's financial hardship, Liana's husband and brother went abroad to find a job and support their family financially. But for now, agriculture is the main income source that helps this family to have a stable income and cover their daily costs. Liana is asking for this loan to purchase three calves to increase her livestock. She plans to grow them and use their milk in cheese production.
Liana hopes that Kiva lenders will assist her financially and she will be able to gather income for her family.
