Safia's story

Safia is 38 years old and a vigorous, married woman. She is the mother of three children. She has had a business of hand-embroidery for the past two and one-half years. She is zealous about her work, and customer demand is strong. Safia’s embroidery patterns are very popular on her street, and she is the best earning resource in her household. She is also involved in the work of cloth sales, to generate an extra amount of income.

She wants to grow her business, so she requested a loan of PKR 25,000. She will use the loan to buy raw materials, such as thread, sequins and pearls, in large quantities.
