A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase raw material at wholesale (fabrics, threads, elastics).

Doris Elena's story

Doris, 51, is married and mother to 3 children. Fifteen years ago she learned about dressmaking and she worked for several years tailoring for third parties. But later she realized that the most profitable business was selling products already made so she changed jobs. She began buying raw materials to send to tailors to cut and embroider, shorts and sweatshirts which are products offered in stores and by distributors. She has managed to generate resources to support her husband with household expenses.

Doris is an enterprising, active and tenacious woman. She was motivated to request a loan as an aid to continue with her work. She wishes to invest in the purchase of raw material at wholesale (fabrics, threads, elastics) with the purpose of ordering a larger quantity of garments and to be able to increase inventory to satisfy the demand that she has at the moment. This will open doors to obtain more clients and to increase monthly profits.

Doris dreams of turning her business into a big distributor and generating employment. In addition she wishes to start distribution in different towns in the region. This way she will have the ability to guarantee a stable economy and better living conditions to enjoy with her family.
