A loan of $850 helped to purchase furniture and equipment for his business.

Jesus's story

Jesús is from Piedras Negras, where he has been living for 48 years. He is married to María. For some years, he worked at the Ferromex company, but he was given his termination. He looked for a new job but there was little time, so he decided to become independent and opened his own business selling used clothing. He and his wife run the business together, and they are doing very well. He says that thanks to this job, he can enjoy more time with his family and he is very grateful for that. He is requesting support through Kiva to be able to purchase furniture and equipment as well another new awning and thus, set up his shop with more amenities so that his customers feel comfortable when they come to his business. In the future, he wants to position his business in a fixed location and grow it, which he knows will happen gradually, and leave it to his children.
