A loan of $1,600 helped a member to purchse dried fish from Mozambique for resale.

Evershining Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 43-year-old Sekai from Mutare. Sekai is a member of the Evershining Group. She is single with two children, one attending school. She also cares for one dependent. Sekai runs a retail business selling dried fish. The business has been in operation for six years. She says the main challenge faced is debtors failing to repay on time.

Sekai has requested a loan of $400 to buy dried fish from Mozambique for resale in Mutare. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's welfare. In the future, Sekai plans to supply fish to large supermarkets and own a truck for transportation.
