A loan of $250 helped to buy pants, shirts, skirts, blouses, shorts, dresses, etc. for her business.

Maria Elena's story

María is an honest and hardworking person who lives in a community in southern Honduras with her daughters and grandchildren. She has had a used clothing business for five years. María sells on foot in different neighborhoods and areas close to her community. She needs a loan to buy more raw material, such as pants, shirts, skirts, blouses, shorts, dresses, etc. María expects the loan to help her greatly because thanks to it she will have the garments she needs to meet the requests and needs of her customers. She also expects her sales to increase, which will allow her to improve her and her family's lifestyle a little. María hopes to expand her business, which will allow her to keep supporting her family and make their goals and dreams come true so they can live better. Choluteca, Honduras – July 2013
