Guicela's story

Guisela, age 30, is married and the mother of two children with whom she lives in her own home. Guisela’s job consists of the sale of groceries such as rice, sugar, flour, and eggs, among others. For a long time, she suffered many setbacks in her life due to the situation with terrorism in her city, but ten years ago she decided to begin this business. She likes what she does, because it allows her to have time to be able to take care of her home. In addition, since starting her business, things have been going well for her economically, since they have a stable income for their household. This is her first loan with Kiva; she is expecting this contribution in order to continue with her goals. She is committed to making her payments punctually. With the requested amount of 1,000 soles, she will buy groceries such as rice, sugar, flour, and eggs, among others.
