A loan of $550 helped to buy seed and organic fertilizer.

Felipe's story

Felipe, who is 28 years old, is married to Emi and has two children, with whom he lives in his own house. Felipe's business is selling agricultural products such as cocoa seeds, coffee seeds, organic fertilizer, and bananas, among others. Every morning he sets up his table in front of his house and offers up all his products, attending to his customers in a very friendly way. Most of these are his own neighbors, and they in turn recommend him to other people, who over time become regular customers.

He began more than two years ago with a private loan, buying and selling in small quantities, which he is gradually increasing in accordance with demand, and so far he runs the business by himself. He also comments that he likes his business because he knows about agriculture, and he decided to start it because he needed to be able to rely on his own income and to have a trade, as the allowance for his children was not enough and he had financial problems.

This is first loan with Kiva and he is very happy to know that he has a financial support, as he now feels sure of making progress with his business. For his part, he promises to make his repayments punctually.
With the requested loan amount of 1,500 Nuevos Soles, he will buy organic fertilizer and seeds to sell in his business.
