Jhoana tiene 28 años de edad y toda su vida vivió con sus abuelos maternos, quienes la criaron y le brindaron todo lo necesario para que fuera una mujer de bien. Hace 4 años su abuela falleció y quedó sola con su abuelo, quien más adelante volvió a casarse, por lo que vio la necesidad de buscar opciones para generar ingresos y poder independizarse. Esto la llevó a comenzar su propio negocio, vendiendo mercancía como zapatos, blusas, jeans, entre otros. En vista de que le estaba yendo muy bien con las ventas, decidió montar su negocio en un local, para lo cual contó con unos ahorros que su abuela le había dejado como herencia y hoy en día ya es reconocido en el sector donde se encuentra ubicado. La cliente es una mujer emprendedora, pujante, con visión y muchas ganas de progresar, eso la motiva a solicitar el crédito, para invertirlo en la compra de mercancía al por mayor, especialmente sandalias y zapatos tipo baleta, con lo cual podrá ampliar su portafolio de productos y así satisfacer los gustos y necesidades de su clientela, esto se verá reflejado en el incremento de sus ventas y sus ingresos. Esto la impulsará para cumplir su principal sueño que es acreditar bien su negocio y generar oportunidades de empleo, con lo cual podrá mejorar no solo su calidad de vida, sino la de muchas otras personas.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
