A loan of $500 helped to buy manure and to prepare the earth for cultivation.

Edwin Edenilson's story

Edwin is 25 years old and went to school until the seventh grade. He lives in a common-law relationship and his wife is a stay-at-home mother. They have no children together, but his wife's child lives with them. For 6 years he has worked in agriculture, which is an activity that he learned from his parents prior to becoming independent. He now works alone in agriculture and raising cattle. He walks for half an hour every day to arrive at the field where he works. The loan will be used to buy manure and to prepare the earth for cultivation. In this way he can have a source of work that generates income, and will be able to produce products to sell and to consume at home. He wants to be able to continue working, and to cultivate more land every year, with the goal of earning more income for his son, buying a cow and having it to produce future income.
