A loan of $825 helped to buy two dairy cows.

Blanca Estela's story

Blanca, 58, does not have an education. She is a widow and has four children, but only two live with her. One of them works and the other stays at home. Her mother and brother also live with her.

For five years she has been raising and selling cattle. She learned the trade from her late husband who was in the same business. She also grows corn and used to sell natural liquors. She works at home and goes off in the morning at 5:00 a.m., returning at 3:00 p.m., bringing the cattle.

The loan she is requesting through Fundación Campo is to buy two dairy cows to make cheese and sell it in her community. This will give her extra income at home.

She wants to have many dairy cows so she can sell dairy products and always have an income for the household.
