Mujeres De Granadillo Group's story

Fabiana is a 35 year old single mother. She has not had the chance to study and has two children, one of whom is studying. She makes a living weaving guipiles (woven blouses) and cortes (woven skirts) which are typical dress in her area. She started this business by learning with her family and to date has 15 years of experience. She counts on her family to help her.

She has organised a group and is applying for a loan which she will invest in buying thread to make traditional local clothing. In the future she hopes to have a stable income which allows her to expand her business by weaving in different styles. The other members of the group make a living by growing coffee and weaving. One of the members could not be present when the photo was taken.
