A loan helped to buy a sack of corn seeds, 5 sacks of fertilizers, pesticides and ice cream to sell.

Milagro De La Paz's story

Milagro is 40 years old and has a 4th grade education. She is married, and her husband is a farmer. On his free days, he also sells ice cream from a motorcycle, driving around the nearby cantons. They have 2 dependent children, aged 10 and 12, who attend school and live with them in their home.

Milagro also works to support the household expenses. She farms and sells ice cream. She's been farming for the last 15 years, and selling ice cream for the last 6 years. She learned this work from her parents. She walks 1 kilometer where she gets on a bus for a 20 minute ride to get to the place where she buys the ice cream.

The loan that she is requesting will be used to buy a sack of corn seeds, 5 sacks of fertilizers, and pesticides. She will use the rest of the money to buy ice cream to sell. This way, she will be able to have a better harvest, and generate more income for her family.

Milagro's dream is to expand her ice cream business. She also hopes to get her sons educated. Thanks to this loan, she will have a good harvest of crops, and she will be able to increase her husband's ice cream sales, which will generate more income for her family. With these earnings, she hopes to expand her ice cream business and make improvements to her house.
