A loan of $1,500 helped purchase five bulls to fatten on his pasture.

Rafael Antonio's story

Don Rafael is 32 years old. He is married and he has three daughters. His daughters are in school. His wife focuses on housework and taking care of the daughters. Don Rafael has 15 years of experience managing cattle and agriculture. He learned from his father from a very young age. Due to his low economic status, he only studied until sixth grade. Also, he buys and sells cattle. He has to travel between various communities in search of people who want to sell cattle and then he sells the cattle to other customers.

He walks for kilometers through various communities every day in order to find people who want to sell their cattle. If he is able to buy an animal, he has to keep until market day. To take the animals by truck, the trip takes 45 minutes. At the market, he sells the cattle and if he is able to, he also purchases young cows in order to raise and feed them for some time.

The requested loan will be used to purchase five young bulls to fatten on his pasture. He will increase his herd of bulls. This will help him to have more frequent profits. He is planning to save so that his daughters can study and become professionals.
