A loan of $1,000 helped to buy more dairy cows and to produce more milk for making dairy products like cheese and cream, and to get a higher income in order to support his family.

Noe Agustín's story

Noe is 48 years old and is a person who only studied up to ninth grade. His life partner makes a living through household chores and has given him three children. He lives with his life partner and two grandsons who are approximately six years old. He gets up at 5:00 a.m. along with his life partner and grandsons, who go to school and depend on the work that he does.

Noe makes a living through agriculture, a job that he learned from his parents. To get to the plots of land he walks one kilometer, and he works while his life partner milks the cows and sells the milk. Later in the course of the afternoon, he cares for the animals in the pastures.

The loan that he is requesting is to buy more dairy cows and to produce more milk for making dairy products like cheese and cream, and to get a higher income in order to support his family. His goal is to buy a plot of land where he has animals, because he currently rents and that gets more expensive to maintain.
