A loan of $1,725 helped a member to buy items for her hairdresser job and pay for labor fees for her farmland.

Kimoun's Group's story

Kimoun, 38, is a widowed mother of four children residing in a rural village of the Ponhea Krek district of Kampong Cham province. Two of her children are still in school and another one is too young to attend school. To make a living, she has been farming cassava and growing cassava for three years as the main source of income and she works as a hairdresser to earn an extra income. She can earn about 26,000 KHR per day.

Kimoun has been with VisionFund for two loans and she has successfully repaid them back. The past loan has helped her to support her family's living and enabled her to keep her children in school. Now she is leading her group to apply for a loan. As the leader, she is going to pay for labor fees for her farmland and use a portion of it to buy items for her hairdresser job. She hopes to expand her business to increase her family’s income and improve their living.
