Akmaral's story

Akmaral is a first-year student at the American University of Central Asia.

She wants to start a career in business. She is from Chuy, Kyrgyzstan, where she sees the problems of unemployment in her community. By studying at AUCA, Akmaral will be able to get the skills and inspiration she needs to be an entrepreneur for her community. Akmaral is also very active in sports. During her studies in high school, she was also very active in tourism and had a good reputation among her classmates. Akmaral was very sociable and active in other social activities at school. Therefore, Akmaral could play an active role in the extracurricular activities of AUCA, where she could practice her leadership skills.

Akmaral is not able to afford full tuition at AUCA, that's why she needs a KIVA loan to cover it.

After graduation, Akmaral will be able to become independent. Thus, she will help both her parents and her community.
