Sokea is married and the mother of one child. The family lives in the Sampov Meas district of Pursat province. Her husband works as security guard. She helps cover the cost of daily living by farming rice on a five-hectare field. For the past three years this couple has also rented out a loudspeaker to make additional money. The rental fee comes to about 42,000 KHR a day. As a new client of VisionFund, Kiva’s partner, Sokea is applying for a 2,000,000 KHR loan in order to buy equipment to support the couple's loudspeaker business.
Sokea hopes to earns more income from her business.
