A loan of $600 helped to change the roof over her oven, as it is deteriorating and can cause additional costs if it collapses, and to invest in the purchase of baking tins to bake and produce more bread.

Antonia Eloina's story

Antonia only studied up to the second grade of primary school. She is in a common-law marriage and her partner works with her in the business. Her children are 24, 27, and 30 years old, but only the youngest one lives with them.

She runs a small bakery and has 13 years of experience making French bread and sweet bread. She inherited this profession from her family, who taught her to bake. This is her only source of income. Along with her youngest son and her spouse, they keep the business afloat.

With this loan, she will change the roof over the oven where she bakes bread. This roof is deteriorating and could cause extra costs if it collapses unexpectedly. She will also invest in the purchase of baking tins to bake and produce more bread.

Antonia and her family have many dreams and they wish to have one of the greatest bakeries in the neighborhood, gaining market share. With plenty of effort and dedication, they hope they will achieve this goal.
