Fareeda's story

Fareeda is a 31-year-old, married woman. She is quite a motivated woman and always wants to do something for the betterment of her family. She has only one child who is school-going. Four years ago, she initiated her business of cloth sales. She buys cloths of different fabrics, in various colors and designs, from the wholesale market and then sells them to the people of her community. She has a varied customer base and is able to earn enough money through her business. Fareeda is requesting a PKR 35,000 loan from Kashf Foundation to buy a wide variety of cloths in different colors and designs, to attract more customers and expand her inventory. She is in her third loan cycle with a good repayment history. Fareeda expects a boost in her earnings with her loan and she plans to spend part of her profits on providing a better standard of living for her family members.
