Salamtkhan is 48 and married and raising four children. Her husband and two of her sons are currently working in Russia and send back their earnings every month. Thanks to her hard work, her farm now includes eight milking cows and 20 sheep as well as 1.5 hectares of land on which she grows corn. Her monthly profits amount to 8,000 KGS.

With the goal of further developing her farm, Salamtkhan has turned to microfinance bank "Bai Tushum and Partners" for a loan of 100,000 KGS to increase her head count of livestock by purchasing two big-horned cattle. Revenue from the loan will be invested into further increases in her quantity of livestock.
