A loan of $1,425 helped to prepare the earth in order to plant a new coffee crop.

Gloria Esperanza's story

Doña Gloria is 47 years old, works cultivating coffee, and is the head of her household and mother of 3 children. Along with her children and her husband, Gloria works in the field cleaning, fertilizing, cutting, and harvesting her crops. She was fortunate to be able to study for 6 years, thanks to the financial support she received from her parents, who sacrificed a lot in order to provide her with the opportunity. She has significant agricultural experience, since she began learning how to work the fields over 20 years ago from her parents. She is very grateful for their support as well as for having inheritted their land. She and her family work every day in order to generate enough income to cover their basic expenses.

Today she is asking for a loan in order to plant a new coffee crop of 13,000 plants, with which she hopes to generate greater income for her family.

Her future plans are to be able to have a large coffee plantation, little by little completing her dream of becoming one of the best coffee producers in the region. This way, she will be able to strengthen her economic position for her children and grandchildren.
