A loan of $775 helped to buy poultry feed, and to buy more birds to raise for the December season.

Muhammad's story

Muhammad, aged 52, is a father of eight children and a poultry farmer, from Wakiso district. He started farming in 2010 with UGX 500,000 in capital, after his previous business got burned, in Juba, Southern Sudan. He now has birds worth UGX 10,000,000 because of his hard work.

Muhammad is applying for a loan of UGX 2,000,000. He will use it to buy feed for the birds, and to buy more birds for the December season. He will use the profits generated by the loan: to pay back the loan installments, and to build more rooms that will accommodate more birds. He also expects to pay school fees and complete his house, from the income generated by the loan. He is a hardworking man, and he thanks Kiva for the partnership.
