A loan of $500 helped to buy a sack of cabbages, a sack of kale and bucket of tomatoes for his grocery store.

Rodgers's story

Rodgers lives in Mombasa Kenya. He is 26 years old and is married. He operates a grocery store in town that has been in operation for the last three years. He is employed and earns a salary, and he has hired someone to run the business on his behalf. The perishability of the commodities he sells is the challenge he has to deal with every day. In cases where customers do not buy everything from the store, he incurs losses, despite his good management of the business. He looks forwards to brighter days. He learned about Milango through a friend, and now he is applying for a loan to buy a sack of cabbages, a sack of kale and bucket of tomatoes. The income he makes from the business will improve his living standards.
