A loan of $375 helped to buy tomatoes, cabbages and kale.

Amina's story

Amina lives in Mombasa, Kenya. She is 29 years old, married and blessed with three children. Two of her children attend school. Amina has been running a grocery store for the last two years. Her vision in the next five years is to own a retail shop that will be able to give her enough income to feed her family. Amina knew of Milango through friends, when she wanted funding for her business. She joined and now she seeks a loan to buy tomatoes, cabbages and kale for sale. The challenge with this business is that she deals with perishable goods and when they are not sold in one day they spoil. The other challenge is the high pricing of agricultural products. The extra income raised from the business will help Amina pay school fees for her children and improve her standards of living.
