A loan of $525 helped to increase the amount of products such as corn meal, sugar, potatoes, cooking oil, and tomatoes that she carries.

Eugenia's story

Eugenia is 51 years old and was born in the province of Inhambane in southern Mozambique. She completed primary school. She is unmarried and has four children, all of whom are in school. She also supports three grandchildren who live with her in her home.
For more than 10 years she has had a stall in the central market in Namaacha where she sells staple goods. She will use this loan to increase the amount of products such as corn meal, sugar, potatoes, cooking oil, and tomatoes that she carries. On Fridays and Saturdays, she also sells at the Shoprite informal market, which offers a range of products from other countries. This is her second business loan from Hluvuku.
In the future she’d like to request more loans to build a shop in her home.
