A loan helped a member to buy shoes.

Emprendedores De Vitarte Group's story

The communal bank "Emprendedores de Vitarte" is comprised of eight women who are involved in different business activities. One of them is Marlene, 45, who is married and has three children. Marlene has been selling men's and women's shoes from a small stall for ten years in an effort to get ahead and earn extra income. Through her hard effort, Marlene has been able to improve her children's education and also continue improving her business.

She will use the loan to buy more shoes to increase her income.

Marlene is the one wearing a red sweater. She sends her regards to Kiva and Edaprospo and is grateful for the loan that allows her to prosper.
