José Deonicio
José is 49 years old, studied up to the 9th grade and is married. His wife is a housewife and raised six children, but only three live at home with him, none of whom are studying. The rest of his children are married. Four people depend on him, his three children and his wife.

José makes a living from agriculture and has dedicated himself to this productive business for 35 years. He learned the work from his parents, who were farmers for their entire lives. He is an entrepreneurial person with the desire to overcome, and he learned the trade of plumbing. The place where he plants is approximately 1 km from his house and he travels there by bicycle. The members of his household who help him with the crop are his three children and his wife. They work from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and when it is necessary they also work from 3 p.m. to approximately 5 p.m.

The loan will be used to rent land, to buy fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides to use in a preventive manner and to plant 7,000 square meters of corn. Due to the fact that he didn't have capital to invest in the planting, his need will be satisfied with the loan.

José's dream is to improve the infrastructure of his house, and the best present he can give his children is to raise them in a responsible and honorable manner so that they will become good people. The loan will help him because he will have income to maintain his family. Next year he plans to sow a greater quantity of land.

José cuenta con 49 años de edad, estudio hasta 9º grado, esta casado y su esposa se dedica al trabajos del hogar, procreo 6 hijos, perosolo 3 viven con él y ninguno de ellos estudia, los demás están casados, de él dependen 4 personas, sus 3 hijos y su esposa.

Él se dedica a la agricultura, tiene 35 años de dedicarse a esta actividad productiva, el oficio lo aprendió de sus padres quienes toda su vida fueron agricultores. Es una persona emprendedora con deseos de superación, aprendió el oficio de fontanería. El lugar donde siembra esta aproximadamente a 1km de distancia de su casa y viaja en bicicleta, los miembros de su hogar que le ayudan a cultivar son sus 3 hijos y su esposa, y trabajan de 6 a.m. a 11 a.m. y cuando se requiere lo hacen por la tarde de 3 p.m a aproximadamente a las 5 p.m.

El préstamo sera utilizado para alquilar la tierra, comprar los fertilizantes, herbicidas e insecticidas para usarlos de manera preventiva y sembrar 7,000 metros cuadrados de maíz; debido a que no posee capital para invertirlo en la siembra, y con el préstamo sera satisfecha la necesidad.

El sueño de don José, es mejorar la infraestructura de su casa, y el mejor regalo que puede dejarles a sus hijos es criarlos de una manera responsable y honrada para que sean personas de bien. El préstamo le ayudara porque tendrá ingresos para mantener a su familia. y tiene planeado para el próximo año sembrar una mayor cantidad de terreno.

This loan is part of a CrediCampo project to help rural farmers living in extreme poverty plant basic grains to feed their families. Excess product is sold on the local market. These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
