A loan of $375 helped to buy talcum powders, body cremes, hand cremes, and perfume.

Karina's story

Karina is 27 years old and is a single mother of two children who live with her in their own home. She works selling makeup and perfume products like talcum powders, deodorants, perfumes, cologne, lip stick, eye creme, and other items. She works from home where she has a small display case installed that allows her to better show off her merchandise. Her customers come from many different parts of the city, and her principle clients are friends and acquaintances. She works under a system of sale on credit, and has been working in this area for four years. She likes her work since it allows her to be active all day long and generate income for her home in a relaxed manner. It also gives her time at night to rest and recharge her energy for the next day. She is hoping to continue working and to in the future establish a store where she sells groceries from her own home. At this time she is asking for 1000 Nuevos Soles (Peruvian currency). She is very excited and grateful for the economic support that has been offered to help her complete her plans. She also promises to make repayments in a punctual manner. With the requested loan, she will buy talcum powders, body cremes, hand cremes, and some perfumes in order to continue making sales.
