A loan of $800 helped to buy building materials.

Hursand's story

Hursand, as the meaning of her name implies, is always smiling, kind and friendly. She works as a seamstress. She sews beautiful traditional Tajik dresses for women. She is also a skilled embroiderer and she creates various patterns with beads, making decorative flower patterns to embellish her dresses. She has a certain number of customers, whom she is always happy to serve. She mainly sews at home, having transformed a small room into a studio which has become her world of art and where she creates beautiful dresses, giving life to her fabrics.

In addition to her talent as a seamstress, Hursand is a loving mother. Her children are already grown-ups. Her oldest son left for Russia to make a living and sends money home every month. Hursand is now responsible not only for her own family, but also for her son's family. As a caring mother and grandmother, her strongest desire is to see her children happy and she does everything to make this happen.

Hursand wants to repair the house where her large family lives. However, the money that she makes thanks to her sewing business is not sufficient to perform home repairs. This is the reason why she has turned to MDO Arvand, requesting a loan to buy building materials for the renovation of her house. She hopes to receive some support from MDO Arvand and Kiva, and she thanks her lenders in advance for their help.
