A loan of $200 helped to buy sewing supplies.

Lorreine's story

Lorreine, 49, is married to Estanis. She raised and educated four children until they were independent and honorable people. Now she lives with her husband in her own house.

Lorreine earns a living making and mending clothing. She works at home, waiting for her neighbors, friends, or acquaintances who need some exclusive garment for a special occasion or simply some small job like mending something that has come unstitched or putting a button on a shirt or pair of pants.

She has been in this business for more than 10 years. She uses an old sewing machine that she takes care of affectionately because she considers it to be her loyal coworker. She says she has a lot of customers who are always happy when they see the final product.

Currently she'll request 500 soles [PEN]. She's very happy to know she has some financial support to guarantee she'll continue working in peace. She promises to continue being a punctual member with her payments.

With the requested amount she'll buy sewing materials such as fabric, thread, buttons, and needles.
