A loan of $450 helped to increase her stock of baby care supplies.

Juliet's story

Juliet is a 40-year-old divorced mother of four. Two of her children have completed senior high school. She sells baby clothes, diapers, baby powder, napkins, detergents, feeding bottles and the like through hawking, balancing her stock on her head and walking miles to her customers' doors.

She is seeking a loan to increase her stock and thus expand her business, making her better able to provide her children with a quality education. She is a member of a community group called the Diamond Trust Group. In this group members provide guarantees for one another and assist one another in repaying the loan.
