A loan of $400 helped to buy more bales of used clothes.

Aisha's story

Aisha is married with three children, two of whom go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (sister and brother). She sells used clothes and has been in this business for ten years.

She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda Shillings (UGX) from MCDTSACCO to buy more jeans trousers, shirts and skirts. She generates additional income through selling piped water. She works at the market seven days out of every week and sells to all categories of people but on retail basis. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality.

She aspires to become a wholesaler and to generate enough profits to build a commercial building. She resides in the family house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
