Momagul is a 58 year old widow who lives in Vahdat. She has three sons and one daughter. Momagul's sons are all married and they and their families all live with Momagul. For the last three years Momagul and one of her daughters-in-law have been in the sewing business. Primarily they sew traditional women's dresses to order. In a day they sew two ordinary dresses and embroidered dresses.

Now Momagul is preparing to expand her business. She is requesting a loan to buy a new, computerized sewing machine for another daughter-in-law, thereby increasing their productivity of labor. Momagul will save up the additional profits in order to buy land for the subsequent construction of a house for her sons.
