A loan of $1,050 helped to buy more dairy cattle.

Luz Fanny's story

Fanny is 41 years old, married, and has four children. She learned agricultural work starting when she was young, because she has always lived in the country. Thanks to this and what her parents taught her, she now works raising dairy cattle, and she uses their milk to make and sell cheeses and other dairy products. From this work she earns enough income to help her husband with household expenses. The field partner says that Fanny is tenacious, strong and active, and that neither economic necessity nor a lack of employment opportunities has stopped her from continuing to fight to get ahead.

Fanny is requesting this loan to buy more dairy cattle. Her goal is to increase her production to satisfy the demand for her products and therefore increase her income. She says this will allow her to continue helping with household expenses and to continue investing in her business buy increasing the size of her herd. Little by little she hopes to continue improving her family’s living conditions and quality of life.
